Intended Use
The Cepheid Xpert® MRSA NxG Assay performed in the GeneXpert® System is a qualitative in vitro diagnostic test designed for rapid detection of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) from nasal swabs in patients at risk for nasal colonization.

Specimen Requirements
Collect nasal specimen using Eswab or other culture transport swab containing either Amies or Stuart liquid transport medium.
