Intended Use
The RAMP® NT-proBNP test is a quantitative immunochromatographic test indicated for use as an in vitro diagnostic product to measure N-termina pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels in EDTA whole blood. Measurement of NT-proBNP aids in the diagnosis and assessment of severity in individuals suspected of having heart failure and may aid in the risk stratification of patients with heart failure.

Collection Instructions:
- Identify patient according to Patient Identification for Specimen Collection
- Collect blood sample according to Venipuncture Sample Collection
- No special patient preparation is necessary.
Specimen Stability
Ambient: 2 hours
Refrigerated: 2 days
Testing must be completed within 2 hours of phlebotomy. However, if this is not possible, the EDTA whole blood can be stored for up to 2 days at 2 to 8°C. If stored, allow blood samples to equilibrate to 18 to 25°C for at least 15 minutes prior to use.
