Specimen Requirements

1. Submit 10 mL (minimum volume:  5 mL) of blood in Isolator^TM 10 or transport tube(s) containing SPS. No smear is needed.
2. Label tube(s) with patient’s name (first and last), date and time of collection, and type of specimen.

3. Maintain sterility and forward promptly at ambient temperature only. Do not refrigerate.

Note:  Specimen source is required on request form for processing.
