Intended Use
Direct antiglobulin tests are useful in the diagnosis of hemolytic disease of the newborn, investigation of transfusion reactions, and autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Interpretation of the results of direct antiglobulin tests depends on the specificity of the anti-human globulin reagent in use.

Container/Tube: Pink-top (EDTA) tube(s)
Specimen: 5 mL (minimum volume: 1 mL) of EDTA whole blood in original VACUTAINER(S)®
Transport Temperature: Refrigerate
Collection Instructions: Forward promptly. Specimen cannot be frozen.
Note: Specimen must be hand-labeled from patient’s wristband to include patient’s name, date and time of draw, and phlebotomist’s initials.
