Test Code LAB293 Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Manual Differential
Intended Use
The complete blood count, or CBC, is the fundamental analytical test that evaluates the three main cellular components: white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. The manual differential forgoes the automated process of the analyzer's differential in favor of a Laboratory Technicians. The stained slide is manually reviewed under a microscope for any abnormalities in morphology of WBCs or RBCs.
