Intended Use

The PFA 100 platelet function testing system is designed to simulate in vivo platelet function following vascular injury.

Both EDTA whole blood and sodium citrate whole blood are required for this test.

Required: Whole Blood (EDTA)

Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube
Specimen: 3 mL (minimum volume: 0.5 mL)

Required: Whole Blood (Citrate) - TWO TUBES

Container/Tube: Lt blue (3.2% sodium citrate) tube
Specimen: 2 full 2.7 mL Lt Blue (citrate) tubes

Collection Instructions: Forward promptly.

Ambient: 4 hours
