Collect specimen using Eswab or other culture transport swab containing either Amies or Stuart liquid transport medium.
Specimen Stability
Ambient (preferred): 48 hours
Refrigerated: 48 hours
*Note: Organism viability for Neisseria gonorrhea may be compromised if sample is not received and processed within 24 hours
