Intended Use
Quantitative determination of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in human serum, as an aid in the management of patients undergoing cancer therapy, especially for non-seminomatous testicular and ovarian tumors and for hepatocellular carcinoma
Not intended to be used for diagnosis or screening of testicular cancer or neural tube defects. May be elevated in pregnant patients due to fetal production of AFP.
