Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type:

Preferred: Plasma - Lt green/mint top Lithium Heparin Tube

Acceptable: Serum - Red-Top, Plain tube or Gold-Top, SST

 

Specimen Volume:   1.0 mL (minimum volume 0.55 mL)

Collection Instructions: Forward promptly.

Specimen Stability

Refrigerated (preferred): 48 hours

Ambient: 8 hours

Frozen (< -20C): > 48 hours, only thaw once
