Test Code LAB96 Lactate Dehydrogenase
Intended Use
Used for the quantitative determination of lactate dehydrogenase activity in human serum or plasma. Elevations in serum lactate dehydrogenase (LD/LDH) occur from myocardial infarction, liver disease, pernicious and megaloblastic anemias, pulmonary emboli, malignancies, and muscular dystrophy. A combined analysis of LDH and CK (creatine kinase) isoenzymes provides a definite diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction.
