Intended Use
Used to aid in the diagnosis of syphilis. Note: This test is used only in the event of a reactive syphilis antibody test or in patients with a history of a reactive RPR. This will also reflex a titer if indicated.

Preferred: Serum
Container/Tube: Plain red-top or serum gel tube
Acceptable: Plasma (heparinized)
Container/Tube: Lt Green/Mint top tube
Specimen: 1.0 mL (minimum volume 0.3 mL)
Collection Instructions: Forward promptly.
Specimen Stability
Refrigerated: 7 days
Frozen: -20C > 5 days
